Vocab Test 5.1

Today was the vocab test, focusing mainly on poetry so it may have been slightly harder than normal. Remember that we still have a lot of words left so make sure you are studying a little bit each night rather than cramming the night before each test.
After the test we worked with the Helen poems. For poetry essays make sure you look for some unique ideas and look at everything they give you on text.

Counselor Extravaganza

I'm behind in the posting again but it's for a good reason. With so many students staying after for help on their papers I haven't had a chance to post. Today the counselors came in and talked about some important college information. Yesterday we had our final Huck discussion that went well in both classes. Again I would push people to tray and focus more on some specific passages.
We also began our initial set-up of the Great Debate--make sure you talk with your group members to divide up the timing and questions.
Tomorrow is the vocab test and then we will look at a little more poetry.
